Abstract
Hypertension is a non-communicable disease which is one of the main causes of death in the world. Hypertension is often called the silent killer because it often goes without complaints, so sufferers do not know that they have hypertension. Objective: This study aims to provide an overview of the theory and application of nursing care for acute pain in hypertensive patients using warm compresses. Method: The research method used is qualitative research with a case study research design using a nursing care approach which includes nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing intervention, nursing implementation, and nursing evaluation. The subjects of this research were two hypertensive patients who experienced acute pain problems at RSUD dr. Prawiranegara Degree Research Results: Applying warm compresses for three consecutive days resulted in patients experiencing a decrease in pain intensity. Conclusion: The results of this study show that applying a warm compress to the neck can reduce the problem of acute pain in hypertensive patients.

| Additional Information: | Hipertensi merupakan penyakit tidak menular yang menjadi salah satu penyebab utama kematian terbesar di dunia. Hipertensi sering disebut the silent killer karena sering tanpa keluhan, sehingga penderita tidak tahu kalau dirinya mengidap hipertensi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran teori dan aplikasi mengenai asuhan keperawatan nyeri akut pada pasien hipertensi dengan tindakan kompres hangat. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus melalui pendekatan asuhan keperawatan yang meliputi pengkajian keperawatan, diagnosa keperawatan, intervensi keperawatan, implementasi keperawatan, dan evaluasi keperawatan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua pasien hipertensi yang mengalami masalah nyeri akut di RSUD dr. Drajat Prawiranegara Hasil Penelitian: Penerapan kompres hangat yang dilakukan selama tiga hari berturut-turut didapatkan hasil pasien mengalami penurunan dalam intensitas nyeri. Kesimpulan: Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa penerapan kompres hangat di bagian leher dapat mengurangi masalah nyeri akut pada pasien hipertensi. | |||||||||
