Abstract
This research aims to describe how students' mathematical anxiety in answering Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV) questions is seen from their self-confidence. This research used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach with subjects of 30 class VIIID students at Al-Arabi Middle School, West Cikarang, Bekasi Regency. The instruments used were a mathematics self-confidence questionnaire and interviews related to mathematical anxiety. The results of this research were that subjects met four of the five categories of self-confidence (low, medium, high and very high) and students with low self-confidence met four indicators of mathematical anxiety, the medium group met four indicators, the high group two indicators and the very high group one indicator. The conclusion obtained from this research is that increasing self-confidence can reduce mathematical anxiety in answering Systems of Two Variable Linear Equations questions.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana kecemasan matematis peserta didik dalam menjawab soal Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV) ditinjau dari kepercayaan diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan subyek 30 peserta didik kelas VIIID pada SMP S Al-Arabi, Cikarang Barat, Kabupaten Bekasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kepercayaan diri matematika dan wawancara terkait kecemasan matematis. Hasil penelitian ini subyek memenuhi empat dari lima kategori kepercayaan diri (rendah, sedang, tinggi, dan sangat tinggi) dan peserta didik dengan kepercayaan diri rendah memenuhi empat indikator kecemasan matematis, kelompok sedang memenuhi empat indikator, kelompok tinggi dua indikator dan kelompok sangat tinggi satu indikator. Kesimpulan yang didapat pada penelitian ini adalah peningkatan kepercayaan diri dapat mengurangi kecemasan matematis dalam menjawab soal Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). | |||||||||
