Abstract
Parenting is an interaction between parents and children which includes various ways of educating, guiding, and providing love and attention to children. Therefore, this parenting style can affect children's emotional intelligence, because the family is the first person to provide learning to children. Children do not yet fully understand what is or has happened to them. This research aims to; 1) find out the parenting patterns of parents in the development of emotional intelligence of children aged 12-15 years in the neighborhood of RT 14 Vila Tangerang Elok, Kutajaya District, 2) find out the results of parenting patterns in the development of emotional intelligence of children aged 12-15 years in the neighborhood of RT 14 Vila Tangerang Elok, Kutajaya Village, and 3) knowing the factors that influence parenting patterns in the development of emotional intelligence in children aged 12- 15 years in the RT14 Vila Tangerang Elok neighborhood, Kutajaya Village. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data sources obtained were 7 parents and 7 children. The results of this research show that the parenting pattern applied by parents in the RT 14 Vila Tangerang Elok environment is a democratic parenting style where this parenting has developed well, although there are still children who are not able to control their emotions.

| Additional Information: | Pola asuh merupakan suatu interaksi antara orang tua dengan anak yang meliputi berbagai cara dalam mendidik, membimbing, serta memberikan kasih sayang dan perhatian kepada anak. Oleh sebab itu, pola asuh ini dapat mempengaruhi kecerdasan emosional anak, karena keluarga merupakan orang pertama yang memberikan pembelajaran kepada anak. Secara anak belum mengerti sepenuhnya mengenai apa yang ada maupun yang sudah terjadi dalam dirinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk; 1) mengetahui pola asuh orang tua dalam perkembangan kecerdasan emosional anak usia 12-15 tahun di lingkungan RT 14 Vila Tangerang Elok Kelurahan Kutajaya, 2) mengetahui hasil pola asuh orang tua dalam perkembangan kecerdasan emosional anak usia 12-15 tahun di lingkungan RT 14 Vila Tangerang Elok Kelurahan Kutajaya, dan 3) mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pola asuh orang tua dalam perkembangan kecerdasan emosional anak usia 12-15 tahun di lingkungan RT14 Vila Tangerang Elok Kelurahan Kutajaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data yang diperoleh yaitu 7 orang tua dan 7 orang anak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh yang diterapkan orang tua di lingkungan RT 14 Vila Tangerang Elok ini adalah pola asuh demokratis yang mana pengasuhan ini sudah berkembang dengan baik, walaupun masih terdapat anak yang belum mampu mengendalikan emosinya. | |||||||||
