Abstract
Head injury is a condition in which the brain is disturbed due to a stronger force or impact from outside the body. In 2013 the worldwide incidence of head injuries was estimated at 500,000 cases. The purpose of this case study was to determine the ineffective breathing pattern emergency nursing care in head injury patients at the emergency room of RSUD dr. Drajat Prawiranegara. This research method uses descriptive research in the form of case studies with a nursing care approach which includes nursing assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this study showed a change in the patient's breathing frequency to be within the normal range. The conclusion of the study that the problem of breathing patterns is not effective in head injury patients is resolved by giving oxygenation.

| Additional Information: | Cedera kepala merupakan suatu kondisi di mana otak terganggu karena adanya kekuatan atau benturan yang lebih kuat dari luar tubuh. Pada tahun 2013 angka kejadian cedera kepala di seluruh dunia diperkirakan mencapai 500.000 kasus. Tujuan studi kasus ini adalah untuk mengetahui asuhan keperawatan gawat darurat pola napas tidak efektif pada pasien cedera kepala di IGD RSUD dr. Drajat Prawiranegara. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif berupa studi kasus dengan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan yang meliputi pengkajian, diagnosa, intervensi, implementasi, dan evaluasi keperawatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan perubahan frekuensi napas pasien menjadi dalam rentang normal. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa masalah pola napas tidak efktif pada pasien cedera kepala teratasi dengan pemberian oksigenisasi. | |||||||||
