Abstract

In the process of economic development, Indonesia faces several challenges, one of which is the substantial funding needed to carry it out. Despite efforts in economic development, domestic financial resources are still insufficient to meet the necessary investment requirements. Although domestic savings are considerable, they are still inadequate to cover investment needs. In addition to efforts to enhance domestic financial resources, the government is also seeking financing from abroad. This study aims to analyze the influence of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Inflation, and Infrastructure on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in 5 provinces on the island of Kalimantan over a 6-year period from 2016 to 2022. The analytical method employed is Multiple Linear Regression analysis, with hypothesis testing including t-tests and Ftests, and Coefficient of Determination testing using EViews12. The research findings reveal that both Inflation and Gross Regional Domestic Product significantly affect Foreign Direct Investment. However, Infrastructure does not have a significant impact on Foreign Direct Investment. Based on the simultaneous test (F-test), it is evident that inflation, GRDP, and infrastructure collectively influence Foreign Direct Investment.
