Some of the effects of toxic parents that are often seen are controlling emotional responses. The method used in this research is the correlation method with a quantitative approach. The technique used in this research is simple random sampling, and the instruments in the research use a questionnaire checklist that is provided manually. In hypothesis testing, researchers use product moment correlation. This research was conducted with a sample size of 169 students. The results of this research show that 70.41% of students experienced toxic parents in the medium category and 73.98% of students had emotional behavior in the high category. The correlation test results obtained were an R value of 0.560, which means there is an influence between toxic parents and emotional behavior.
