Abstract

The implementation of the curriculum allows teachers to develop teaching materials according to the needs of students through the independent curriculum teaching modules, but in reality the number of independent curriculum teaching modules is still limited. Students often find it difficult to understand acid-base material because the material is complex and there is a lot of use of formulas and calculations so that deep understanding is needed. Based on this, it is necessary to develop an independent curriculum teaching module on acid-base material with the right learning model, one of which is learning cycle 9E because learning cycle 9E is a model with learning activities that can involve students in lessons by investigating, exploring, and building concepts. Therefore, the research aims to develop an independent curriculum teaching module based on learning cycle 9E on acid-base material, determine the feasibility, and practicality in its use as teaching material. The research method uses R&D with the ADDIE model including the stages of analysis (analyze), design (design), development (development), implementation (implementation), and evaluation (evaluate). Data collection techniques through validation and learner responses. The validation stage carried out is media, material, and construct validation to each of the 6 validators, then the teaching module is tested on 31 student respondents. The average validation results obtained from media, material, and construct validators were 0.91, 0.89, and 0.90 and declared "Valid", and obtained the results of students' responses to the use of teaching modules on average of 84% and categorized as "Very Good" so that the teaching modules were considered very practical. Based on the results of data calculation analysis, the teaching modules that have been developed are feasible and practical to be used as teaching materials in the learning process of acid-base materials.

Additional Information: Adanya penerapan kurikulum membuat guru dapat menyusun bahan ajar sesuai kebutuhan peserta didik melalui modul ajar kurikulum merdeka, tetapi pada kenyataannya modul ajar kurikulum merdeka jumlahnya masih terbatas. Peserta didik seringkali merasa kesulitan dalam memahami materi asam basa karena materi bersifat kompleks dan terdapat banyak penggunaan rumus dan perhitungan sehingga diperlukan pemahaman mendalam. Berdasarkan hal tersebut perlu dilakukannya pengembangan modul ajar kurikulum merdeka pada materi asam basa dengan model pembelajaran yang tepat, salah satunya learning cycle 9E karena learing cycle 9E merupakan model dengan kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat melibatkan peserta didik dalam pelajaran dengan melakukan penyelidikan, mengeksplorasi, dan membangun konsep. Maka dari itu, penelitian bertujuan mengembangkan modul ajar kurikulum merdeka berbasis learning cycle 9E pada materi asam basa, mengetahui kelayakan, dan kepraktisan dalam penggunaannya sebagai bahan ajar. Metode penelitian menggunakan R&D dengan model ADDIE meliputi tahap analisis (analyze), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluate). Teknik pengumpulan data melalui validasi dan respon peserta didik. Tahap validasi yang dilakukan yaitu validasi media, materi, dan konstruk kepada masing-masing 6 validator, kemudian modul ajar diuji coba terbatas kepada 31 responden peserta didik. Hasil rata-rata validasi yang diperoleh dari validator media, materi, dan konstruk sebesar 0.91, 0.89, dan 0.90 dan dinyatakan “Valid”, dan memperoleh hasil respon peserta didik terhadap penggunaan modul ajar rata-rata sebesar 84% dan dikategorikan “Sangat Baik” sehingga modul ajar dinilai sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis perhitungan data, modul ajar yang telah dikembangkan layak dan praktis untuk dipergunakan sebagai bahan ajar pada proses pembelajaran materi asam basa.
