Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the rate of student emotional intelligence in class XI MAN 1 Pandeglang before and after group guidance services were carried out and the effectiveness of group guidance services using the homeroom method in developing the emotional intelligence student in class XI MAN 1 Pandeglang. This type of research is a quantitative with pre-experimental methods. The population in this study is students in class XI MAN 1 Pandeglang, totaling 217 people, and the sample in this study is 3 people. Sampling in this study is purposive sampling. The results showed that: (1) the student’s emotional intelligence scores before being given treatment were relatively low, (2) student’s emotional intelligence scores increased after being provided with grouo guidance services homeroom method, (3) there is the effectiveness of group guidance services using homeroom methods in developing student’s emotional intelligence.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas XI MAN 1 Pandeglang sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan layanan bimbingan kelompok, pengaruh layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan menggunakan teknik homeroom dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional di kelas XI MAN 1 Pandeglang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode praeksperimen, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik di kelas XI berjumlah 217 orang dan sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 3 orang. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) skor kecerdasan emosional siswa sebelum diberikan treatment masih tergolong rendah, (2) skor kecerdasan emosional siswa meningkat setelah diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik homeroom (3) terdapat pengaruh layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik homeroom dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional siswa.
