Abstract

This research aims to determine the mangrove diversity index in coastal area of Kronjo Village and then the fact from the research result will be applied as recommendations for learning resources to the concept of biodiversity for 10th grade students of senior high school. The research method used was a line transect plot at three observation stations. Station 1 in the pond area (conservation area) of Kronjo Village, station 2 in the coast of Kronjo Village, and station 3 in the estuary area of Kronjo Village. This research used vegetation analysis by recording density, frequency, dominance, important value index (IVI) and diversity index. The research results showed that the mangrove diversity index based on the ShannonWienner formula obtained results at station 1 of 0,883; station 2 is 0,700; and station 3 is 0,891; all including low criteria. Furthermore, it was known that there were 11 type of true mangroves and 8 type of associated mangroves which are included in 9 families. Research applied as recommendations for learning resources on the concept of biodiversity for 10th grade students of senior high school. Learning resources that can be developed were learning modules, student worksheets, booklets, posters, magazines, and videos learning.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui indeks keanekaragaman mangrove di kawasan Pesisir Desa Kronjo dan selanjutnya fakta hasil penelitian diaplikasikan sebagai rekomendasi sumber belajar pada konsep keanekaragaman hayati kelas X SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah line transect plot di tiga stasiun pengamatan, yaitu stasiun 1 daerah tambak (kawasan konservasi) Desa Kronjo, stasiun 2 pesisir pantai Desa Kronjo, dan stasiun 3 kawasan muara sungai Desa Kronjo. Penelitan ini menggunakan analisis vegetasi dengan pencatatan kerapatan, frekuensi, dominansi, indeks nilai penting (INP), dan indeks keanekaragaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan indeks keanekaragaman mangrove berdasarkan rumus Shannon-Wienner didapat hasil pada stasiun 1 sebesar 0,883; stasiun 2 sebesar 0,700; dan stasiun 3 yaitu 0,891; ketiganya termasuk pada kriteria rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian juga diketahui terdapat 11 jenis mangrove dari 9 Famili yang terdiri dari 3 jenis mangrove sejati dan 8 jenis mangrove asosiasi. Fakta penelitian digunakan dalam pendidikan sebagai rekomendasi sumber belajar pada konsep keanekaragaman hayati kelas X SMA. Sumber belajar yang dapat dikembangkan adalah sumber belajar cetak yaitu modul pembelajaran, lembar kerja siswa (LKS), booklet, poster, majalah, sumber belajar non cetak yaitu video pembelajaran, sumber belajar lingkungan yaitu lingkungan ekosistem mangrove.
