Abstract

When studying corrosion material, there are many teachers who still use textbooks and worksheets as learning media, so that some students are still less interested in chemistry material. It is necessary to use digital comic-based learning media presented on a Marvel App platform containing corrosion material that combines images with text. The aim of this research project is to design, develop and assess the feasibility of using chemical digital comic learning media (chemtoon) with the Marvel App on corrosion materials. Apart from that, to find out students' responses to digital comic learning media (chemtoon) with the Marvel App on corrosion material. Research uses methods research and development The ADDIE model consists of 5 (five) stages, namely analyze (analysis), design (planning), develop (development), implement (implementation), and evaluate (evaluation). The research results show the value of Vcount from media expert validators is greater than Vtable with a value of 0.80 > 0.85 – 0.95, while the material expert assessment of all aspects shows a value of Vcount greater than Vtable with a value of 0.80 > 0.85 – 1. The results of student responses to digital comics obtained an average percentage of all aspects, namely 91.71%. This shows that digital comic learning media (Chemtoon) with the Marvel App on corrosion materials is suitable for use and helps students' understanding of chemistry in corrosion materials.

Additional Information: Pada pembelajaran materi korosi terdapat banyak guru yang masih banyak menggunakan buku teks dan LKS sebagai media pembelajaran, sehingga sebagian siswa masih kurang tertarik pada materi kimia. Diperlukanlah media pembelajaran berbasis komik digital yang disajikan pada suatu platform Marvel App berisi materi korosi yang memadukan antara gambar dengan teks. Tujuan dari projek penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang dan mengembangkan serta menilai kelayakan penggunaan media pembelajaran komik digital kimia (chemtoon) dengan Marvel App pada materi korosi. Selain itu, untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran komik digital (chemtoon) dengan Marvel App pada materi korosi. Penelitian menggunakan metode research and development model ADDIE terdiri dari 5 (lima) tahapan yaitu analyze (analisis), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), implement (implementasi), dan evaluate (evaluasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Vhitung dari para validator ahli media lebih besar dari Vtabel dengan nilai 0,80 > 0,85 – 0,95, sedangkan penilaian ahli materi semua aspek menunjukkan nilai Vhitung lebih besar dari Vtabel dengan nilai 0,80 > 0,85 – 1. Hasil respon siswa terhadap komik digital diperoleh persetase rata – rata keseluruhan aspek yaitu sebesar 91,71%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran komik digital (Chemtoon) dengan Marvel App pada materi korosi layak digunakan dan membantu pemahaman siswa tentang kimia dalam materi korosi.
