Abstract

Electrochemistry is one of the chemistry subject matter that is often considered difficult by students because of the many calculations and less interesting learning. The solution to this problem is to create meaningful learning for students by integrating community cultural phenomena in chemistry learning called ethnoscience. The ethnoscience phenomenon that can be studied is the use of tamarind. Ethnoscience learning can be well organized with the existence of E-LKPD equipped with KPS indicators. The purpose of this research is to develop “Ethnoscience-Oriented E-LKPD on the Utilization of Tamarind as Bio-Battery to Stimulate Science Process Skills”. The development in this study used an R&D research design with the ADDIE model (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Data collection techniques were carried out through literature studies, interviews, observations and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used Aiken's V index 0.79 on E-LKPD materials and media validated by 6 validators. E-LKPDs that were declared valid were tested on 29 students of class XI SMAN who used the independent curriculum. The results showed that the E-LKPD was declared valid with an average validity of material aspects of 0.87 and media aspects of 0.86 and the results of students' responses of 87% were categorized as very good. Thus, ethnoscience-oriented E-LKPD has met the criteria of valid and feasible to use stimulate science process skills.

Additional Information: Elektrokimia merupakan salah satu materi pelajaran kimia yang sering dianggap sulit oleh peserta didik karena banyaknya perhitungan dan pembelajaran yang kurang menarik. Solusi dari permasalahan ini adalah menciptakan pembelajaran bermakna bagi peserta didik dengan mengintegrasikan fenomena kebudayaan masyarakat dalam pembelajaran kimia yang dinamakan etnosains. Fenomena etnosains yang dapat dipelajari yaitu penggunaan asam jawa. Pembelajaran etnosains dapat terselenggara dengan baik dengan adanya E-LKPD yang dilengkapi dengan indikator KPS. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan “E-LKPD Berorientasi Etnosains Terhadap Pemanfaatan Asam Jawa Sebagai Bio-Battery Untuk Menstimulus Keterampilan Proses Sains”. Pengembangan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian R&D dengan model ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi literatur, wawancara, observasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan indeks Aiken’s V 0,79 terhadap materi dan media E-LKPD yang divalidasi oleh 6 validator. E-LKPD yang dinyatakan valid diujicobakan kepada 29 peserta didik kelas XI SMAN yang menggunakan kurikulum merdeka. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD dinyatakan valid dengan rata-rata validitas aspek materi sebesar 0,87 dan aspek media sebesar 0,86 dan hasil respon peserta didik sebesar 87% dikategorikan sangat baik. Dengan demikian, E-LKPD berorientasi etnosains telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran serta dapat menstimulus keterampilan proses sains.
