Abstract

The increasing use of private vehicles and the high movement in activities led to transportation problems in the city of Tangerang, to deal with this the Tangerang City government provided a solution in the form of the provision of the part Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Tangerang City. BRT Tangerang city has 2 corridors which are currently operating, one of which is corridor 1 of Terminal Poris - Jatake. In determining the modes of transportation chosen by the community, there are several factors that influence the selection of transport that are in accordance with their perceptions and expectations. The influencing factors include the performance of the quality of public transport services. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of service users of BRT corridor 1 in Tangerang City, to determine the level of satisfaction and level of expectations of service users from the services and security performance of BRT corridor 1 in Tangerang City based on security, safety, comfort, affordability, equality, regularity and to produce recommendation for developing service performance (BRT) corridor 1 in Tangerang City using the Service Quality method and SWOT analysis. The results of the survey found that 62% of respondents were female and 38% were male with the majority of respondents aged 20-30 years with the frequency of travel using BRT> 5 times / week. The percentage of facilities available on BRT corridor 1 is 82.35% from those stipulated in Permenhub No.10 of 2012. With a service performance level of 88.553%.
