Abstract
This study aims to determine the numeracy ability of students who apply the problem-based learning model with the help of animated videos better than students who apply the expository learning model. The type of research used is quasi-experimental with the Nonequivalent control group method. The population in this study was all grade 7 students of SMPIT Al-Izzah with sampels of 7A1 as a control class and 7A2 as an experimental class. The data collection used is in the form of numeracy ability test instrumens. Based on the results of the study, the average posttest score obtained by the expiry class was greater than the average value obtained by the control class with the average value of the control class of 66.11 and the average experimental class of 80.42. Then the results of the independent sampel t-test conducted to test the research hypothesis found that the significance value (1-tailed) was 0.001 which means that the value of sig.< 0.05, then H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted with H0: Numeracy ability of students who use problem based learning models assisted by animated videos is no better than students in classes who use expository models and H1: Numeracy skills of students who use problem based learning models assisted by animated videos are better than students in classes who use expository models. So it can be concluded that the numeracy ability of students who use the problem-based learning model is better than the numeracy ability of students who use the expository learning model

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan numerasi pada siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran problem based learning dengan berbantuan video animasi lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang menerapkan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperimen dengan metode Nonequivalent control group. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu adalah seluruh siswa kelas 7 SMPIT Al-Izzah dengan sampel 7A1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 7A2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa instrumen tes kemampuan numerasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest yang diperoleh kelas eksperimen lebih besar dibandingkan nilai rata- rata yang diperoleh kelas kontrol dengan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol sebesar 66,11 dan rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 80,42. Kemudian hasil uji independent sampel t-test yang dilakukan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian didapatkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (1-tailed) sebesar 0.001 yang berarti bahwa nilai sig.< 0.05, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima dengan H0: kemampuan numerasi siswa yang menggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan video animasi tidak lebih baik dibandingkan siswa pada kelas yang menggunakan model ekspositori dan H1: Kemampuan numerasi siswa yang menggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan video animasi lebih baik dibandingkan siswa pada kelas yang menggunakan model ekspositori. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan numerasi siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning lebih baik dibandingkan kemampuan numerasi siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori | |||||||||
