Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation (X1) and work discipline (X2) on employee performance (Y) through job satisfaction (Z) as an intervening variable. The method used in this research is quantitative. The population used in this study were 50 employees of PT Sangati Soerya Sejahtera, Central Jakarta. The sample used in this study was the entire population of the company using the saturated sampling technique. The instrument test in the research was carried out on 20 non-responden using the SPSS 24 analysis tools. The data analysis technique in this study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the SmartPLS 3.29 analysis tool. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; (2) Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; (3) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction; (4) Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction; (5) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; (6) Job satisfaction is able to mediate the relationship between compensation and employee performance; (7) Job satisfaction is able to mediate the relationship between work discipline and employee performance.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompensasi (X1) dan disiplin kerja (X2) terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y) melalui kepuasan kerja (Z) sebagai variabel intervening. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 50 orang karyawan PT. Sangati Soerya Sejahtera Jakarta Pusat. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh populasi pada perusahaan dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Uji instrumen dalam penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 20 non-responden dengan menggunakan alat analisis SPSS 24. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan menggunakan alat analisis SmartPLS 3.29. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan; (2) Disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan; (3) Kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja; (4) Disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja; (5) Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan; (6) Kepuasan kerja mampu memediasi hubungan kompensasi terhadap kinerja karyawan; (7) Kepuasan kerja mampu memediasi hubungan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan.
