Abstract
Problem solving ability is an ability that needs to be improved, especially at the high school level. Having good problem solving skills will certainly not only lead students to understand the material, but also guide students to be able to overcome a problem. This research aims to determine students' problem solving abilities on global warming material. This type of research is qualitative research with the research subjects being class X G students, totaling 30 students. 6 students were taken based on medium, low and very low criteria. Data collection techniques use written tests and interviews. The results of this research indicate that students' problem solving abilities are still low. This is caused by several internal and external factors. Internal factors include students not understanding the material thoroughly, students' lack of interest and enthusiasm for learning, students' inaccuracy in reading questions and their level of self-confidence. Meanwhile, external factors include the learning process and the form of questions given.

| Additional Information: | Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan kemampuan yang perlu ditingkatkan khususnya pada tingkat SMA. Dengan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang baik tentu tidak hanya mengantarkan siswa untuk dapat memahami materi, tetapi juga menuntun siswa untuk dapat mengatasi suatu permasalahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi pemanasan global. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas X G yang berjumlah 30 siswa. 6 siswa diambil berdasarkan kriteria sedang, rendah, dan sangat rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes tertulis dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa masih rendah. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal diantaranya siswa belum memahami materi secara menyeluruh, kurangnya minat dan semangat belajar siswa, ketidaktelitian siswa dalam membaca soal dan tingkat kepercayaan diri. Sementara untuk faktor eksternal diantaranya yaitu proses pembelajaran dan bentuk soal yang diberikan. | |||||||||
