Abstract
The role of agricultural instructors is very important for the success of farmers in an area. This research aims to determine the role of agricultural instructors in the development of farmer groups in the Wargi Saluyu Farmer Group. Not only that, this research also aims to find out the obstacles experienced by extension workers in the process of developing farmer groups. This research was carried out from December to February 2024 at the Wargi Saluyu Farmers Group, Sukajadi Village, Cibaliung District. In this research, there were 35 respondents from members of active farmer groups assisted by agricultural extension. The sampling technique in this research uses two types of data, namely primary data and secondary data with descriptive analysis processing and the data analysis technique used is sperm correlation. The results of the analysis show that all roles of agricultural extension in developing farmer groups have significant value and have a role level value with a highcriteria of 79%. The obstacles experienced by Cibaliung District extension workers include human resources, farmer participation which is only around 50% and the ability to implement innovations which have not been fully implemented.
