Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence and improvement of class XI students' science process skills using a guided inquiry learning model assisted by practical work on sound wave material. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 6 Serang City for the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental, with a one group pretest-posttest design approach. The research sample was 48 students of class XI Physics 1. Data collection was carried out through pretest-posttest sheets to determine student learning outcomes and science process skills observation sheets. The research results showed that the average pretest N-gain value was 0.11 in the low category and posttest N-gain 0.49 in the medium category. The results showed that students' science process skills increased. The average percentage result on the student science process skills observation sheet is 78.40% in the good category.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas XI dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran guided inquiry berbantuan praktikum pada materi gelombang bunyi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 6 Kota Serang tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Metode yang diguanakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment, dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian yaitu 48 siswa kelas XI Fisika 1. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar pretest-posttest untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dan lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai N-gain pretest yaitu 0.11 dengan kategori rendah dan N-gain posttest 0.49 dengan kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa meningkat. Hasil persentase rata-rata pada lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains siswa yaitu 78,40% dengan kategori baik.
