Abstract
This research was conducted to find out the difficulties experienced by class XII students of SMA Muhammadiyah Serang City in understanding the concepts of momentum and impulse. This research uses a qualitative method with a population of class XII who have studied momentum and impulse material, then the sample is all students of the class From the results of written tests and interview tests, it was found that the learning difficulties and lack of understanding of concepts experienced by students came from not paying attention when the material was given, as well as misperceptions when working on questions, and a lack of use of the correct formula equation for each quantity being calculated or searching for.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kesulitan yang dialami siswa kelas XII SMA Muhammadiyah kota Serang dalam memahami konsep pada materi momentum dan impuls. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan populasi yaitu kelas XII yang telah mempelajari materi momentum dan impuls kemudian untuk sample yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XII MIPA yang berjumlah 20 orang. Dari hasil tes tertulis dan tes wawancara maka didapatkan hasil bahwa kesulitan belajar dan kurangnya pemahaman konsep yang dialami siswa berasal dari kurang menyimak saat materi diberikan, serta salah persepsi ketika mengerjakan soal, dan kurangnya penggunaan persamaan rumus yang tepat terhadap masing-masing besaran yang dihitung atau dicari. | |||||||||
