Abstract
The declining interest of millennials and education students in the teaching profession is an issue that requires serious attention. Motivation to encourage prospective teachers to graduate and start a teaching career is a pressing challenge in many countries. The importance of interest as a motivational driver for prospective teacher students in choosing a professional teaching profession underlies the importance of efforts to increase students' interest in becoming teachers. This study aims to understand how the MSIB program affects interest in choosing a teaching profession, as well as to explore the factors that encourage or reduce this interest among Mathematics Education students at Untirta who take part in the MSIB program. This research uses a type of mixed method research or also known as a combination research method design using an explanatory sequential design. The subjects in this study were all students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Untirta who took part in MSIB, starting from batch 2 to batch 5. The results showed that MSIB experience has a positive influence on the interest of Mathematics Education students at Untirta to choose a profession to become a teacher, which is reflected in the positive regression coefficient of 0.541. This means that every one unit increase in the MSIB experience variable will result in an increase of 0.541 in the value of interest in becoming a teacher. This interest is driven by the factors of MSIB experience, feelings in teaching, attention to the quality of education, and family environment. Meanwhile, what reduces students in becoming teachers is mostly influenced by ideals, factors of perception of the profession and teacher welfare and social friend factors.

| Additional Information: | Penurunan minat siswa generasi milenial dan mahasiswa pendidikan terhadap profesi guru merupakan masalah yang membutuhkan perhatian serius. Motivasi untuk mendorong calon guru lulus dan memulai karir mengajar menjadi tantangan yang mendesak di banyak negara. Pentingnya minat sebagai pendorong motivasi bagi mahasiswa calon guru dalam memilih profesi guru yang profesional menjadi dasar pentingnya upaya meningkatkan minat mahasiswa untuk menjadi guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana program MSIB memengaruhi minat untuk memilih profesi menjadi guru, serta untuk mengeksplorasi faktorfaktor yang mendorong atau mengurangi minat tersebut di kalangan mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika di Untirta yang mengikuti program MSIB. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian mix method atau disebut juga dengan metode penelitian kombinasi desain menggunakan desain explanatory sequential. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah semua mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Untirta yang mengambil bagian dalam MSIB, mulai dari angkatan 2 hingga angkatan 5. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman MSIB memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap minat mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika di Untirta untuk memilih profesi menjadi guru, yang tercermin dari koefisien regresi positif sebesar 0,541. Artinya, setiap peningkatan satu satuan dalam variabel pengalaman MSIB akan mengakibatkan peningkatan sebesar 0,541 dalam nilai minat menjadi guru. Minat tersebut didorong oleh faktor pengalaman MSIB, perasaan dalam mengajar, perhatian terhadap kualitas pendidikan, dan lingkungan keluarga.
