Abstract
This research aims to investigate and analyze the influence of language attitude, linguistic intelligence, and creative thinking on writing skills. This research used quantitative approach by statistical analysis to process the data. The data analysis method was carried out using path analysis, namely a statistical analysis technique to describe the relationship among several variables. Path analysis is also a method for studying the direct and indirect effects of hypothesized variables to cause variables that are treated as effects. This research was conducted at MAN 1 Kota Serang, Banten Province through sample of 160 students from the departments of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIA), Social Sciences (IIS), and Religion (Keagamaan). Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a very strong and significant influence between language attitude, linguistic intelligence, through creative thinking on writing skills. These three factors interact with each other and make an important contribution to forming good writing skills. A positive language attitude towards English will give rise to a tendency towards confidence, appreciation, and motivation to understand English well. Linguistic intelligence, which involves mastery of language, grammar, and vocabulary, is an important foundation for good writing skills. A person with high linguistic intelligence will contribute to the ability to design effective sentences and paragraphs, as well as express ideas appropriately. Creative thinking provides an additional dimension to writing skills. The ability to see problems from different points of view, use metaphors or similes, and make unconventional associations makes writing more interesting and creative. So, someone who has a positive language attitude, linguistic intelligence, and high creative thinking will have high writing skills.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi dan menganalisis pengaruh sikap bahasa (language attitude), kecerdasan linguistik (linguistic intelligence), dan berpikir kreatif (creative thinking) terhadap keterampilan menulis (writing skill). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif (quantitative research). Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis) yakni teknik analisis statistik untuk menggambarkan keterikatan searah antar beberapa variabel. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN 1 Kota Serang Provinsi Banten dengan jumlah sampel 160 siswa yang berasal dari jurusan Matematika dan Ilmu Alam (MIA), Ilmu-Ilmu Sosial (IIS), dan Keagamaan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang sangat kuat dan signifikan antara sikap bahasa (language attitude), kecerdasan linguistik (linguistic intelligence), melalui berpikir kreatif (creative thinking) terhadap keterampilan menulis (writing skill). Ketiga faktor ini saling berinteraksi dan memberikan kontribusi yang penting dalam membentuk keterampilan dalam menulis baik. Sikap bahasa (language attitude) yang positif terhadap bahasa Inggris akan melahirkan kecenderungan keyakinan, apresiasi, serta motivasi untuk memahami bahasa Inggris dengan baik. Kecerdasan linguistik (linguistic intelligence), yang melibatkan penguasaan bahasa, tata bahasa, dan kosakata, merupakan landasan penting bagi keterampilan menulis yang baik. Seseorang dengan kecerdasan linguistik (linguistic intelligence) yang tinggi akan berkontribusi pada kemampuan untuk merancang kalimat dan paragraf yang efektif, serta mengungkapkan ide dengan tepat. Berpikir kreatif (creative thinking) memberikan dimensi tambahan pada keterampilan menulis. Kemampuan untuk melihat masalah dari berbagai sudut pandang, menggunakan metafora atau perumpamaan, dan membuat asosiasi yang tidak konvensional menjadikan tulisan lebih menarik dan kreatif. Jadi, seseorang yang memiliki sikap bahasa (language attitude) yang positif, kecerdasan linguistik (linguistic intelligence) dan kreativitas berpikir (creative thinking) yang tinggi akan memiliki keterampilan menulis (writing skill) yang tinggi. | |||||||||
