Abstract

This study discusses the area prone to the Tangerang - Merak Toll Road traffic accident which aims to determine the characteristics and costs of traffic accidents on the Tangerang - Merak Toll Road section, knowing the segment of accident- prone areas on the Tangerang - Merak Toll road, and handling efforts at prone to accidents that can be done on the Tangerang - Merak toll road. The primary data in this study is the division of segments along the Tangerang - Merak Tol road (KM 31 - KM 98). Secondary data used include data on traffic accidents in 2014 - 2018 and a map of the toll road network. The accident analysis method used in this study is the AEK, UCL, Z-SCORE method and for the method of analyzing the cost of traffic accidents used in this study is The Gross Output (Human Capital) method. The results showed accident characteristics based on year, namely in 2017 as many as 52 accidents, time-based accidents namely in the light time (06.00-18.00) as many as 127 accidents, based on the characteristics of accident victims, namely 10 dead, 130 minor injuries, seriously in jured as many as 72 and material losses as many as 130 victims, based on the type of accidents that often occur namely a single accident of 165 accidents, based on the type of vehicle that often occurs accidents, 261 accidents, and based on accident factors that often occur due to human factors as many as 146 accidents . Calculations using the AEK method and UCL accident- prone areas are located in segment 3 and segment 5 with AEK values in segment 3 of 187, UCL values of 167,677 and in segment 5 with AEK values of 179, UCL values of 167,078, Z-Score segments 3 and segment 4 are accident-prone areas with the value of Z-Score in the third segment amounting to 1,299 and in segment 4 with a Z-Score value of 1,017, and for the total magnitude of the cost of traffic accidents for 5 years when Lebaran is Rp. 6,981,730,899 .
