Abstract

Teachers play a role in controlling situations and conditions during the learning process in class so that it remains conducive, interesting and enjoyable. To create pleasant learning conditions, it is necessary to use media that is interactive and also interesting for students. Learning media is basically a tool used as an intermediary in conveying learning material to students. In general, learning media is also able to encourage student motivation in participating in learning activities, therefore it is necessary to vary the use of media so that students do not get bored. This research aims to create and develop pop-up book learning media. This research was carried out from May 2023 to December 2023. This research used 4D research procedures with the stages of definition, design, development and distribution, with a research sample of 20 class IV students. students at SDN Banjarsari 2 Serang City. This pop-up book learning media on the cultural charm of Banten province received an average expert assessment of 84.3% in the "Very Suitable" category, and an average student response assessment of 91.8% in the "Very Good" category. Based on the results of this assessment, it can be said that the pop-up book media material on the cultural charm of Banten province is very suitable for use as learning media in class IV elementary schools.

Additional Information: Guru memiliki peran dalam mengendalikan situasi dan kondisi saat proses pembelajaran di kelas agar tetap kondusif, menarik dan menyenangkan. Untuk menciptakan kondisi belajar yang menyenangkan diperlukan penggunaan media yang interaktif dan juga menarik bagi peserta didik. Media pembelajaran pada dasarnya merupakan suatu alat yang dijadikan sebagai perantara dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran kepada peserta didik. Secara umum media pembelajaran juga mampu menodorong motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran, maka dari itu diperlukan variasi penggunaan media agar peserta didik tidak jenuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran pop-up book. Adapun penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2023 sampai bulan Desember 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur penilitian 4D dengan tahapan define (penetapan), design (perancangan), development (pengembangan) dan dessiminate (penyebaran), dengam sampel penelitian peserta didik kelas IV sebanyak 20 siswa di SDN Banjarsari 2 Kota Serang. Media pembelajaran pop-up book dalam materi pesona budaya provinsi Banten ini mendapatkan rata-rata penilaian ahli sebesar 84,3% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”, dan rata-rata penilaian respon peserta didik sebesar 91,8% dengan kategori “sangat Baik”. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian tersebut, dapat dikatakan media pop-up book dalam materi pesona budaya provinsi Banten ini sangat layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas IV sekolah dasar.
