Abstract
The research aims to describe the mathematical literacy ability of junior high school students in solving social arithmetic problems in terms of David Kolb's learning style. This research method uses descriptive qualitative with 26 students of SMPN 2 Cileles class VIII B as the research subjects. This study used mathematical literacy test instruments, David Kolb learning style questionnaire, and interview guidelines. The results showed that each learning style had varied mathematical literacy ability. Upper divergent students are able to formulate the context mathematically, use mathematical concepts, facts and procedures, and apply and evaluate problem solving. Middle divergent students are only able to formulate the context mathematically and use mathematical concepts, facts and procedures. Lower divergent students are only able to formulate the context mathematically. Upper assimilation students are able to formulate context mathematically, use mathematical concepts, facts and procedures, and apply and evaluate problem solving. Moderate assimilation students are able to fulfill three process indicators, namely formulating context mathematically, using mathematical concepts, facts and procedures, and applying and evaluating problem solving in part of the problem. Lower assimilation students are only able to formulate the context mathematically. Upper and middle convergent students are able to formulate context mathematically, use mathematical concepts, facts and procedures, and apply and evaluate problem solving in part of the problem. Lower convergent students are only able to formulate the context mathematically. Upper and middle accommodation students are able to formulate the context mathematically, use mathematical concepts, facts and procedures, and apply and evaluate problem solving in part of the problem. Lower accommodation students are only able to fulfill one process indicator, namely formulating the context mathematically.

Additional Information: | Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal Aritmatika Sosial ditinjau dari gaya belajar David Kolb. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subyek penelitian 26 siswa SMPN 2 Cileles kelas VIII B. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan literasi matematis, angket gaya belajar David Kolb, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap gaya belajar memiliki kemampuan literasi matematis yang bervariasi. Siswa divergen atas mampu merumuskan konteks secara matematis, menggunakan konsep matematika, fakta dan prosedur, dan menerapkan dan mengevaluasi penyelesaian masalah. Siswa divergen tengah hanya mampu merumuskan konteks secara matematis dan menggunakan konsep matematika, fakta dan prosedur. Siswa divergen bawah hanya mampu merumuskan konteks secara matematis. Siswa asimilasi atas mampu merumuskan konteks secara matematis, menggunakan konsep matematika, fakta dan prosedur, dan menerapkan dan mengevaluasi penyelesaian masalah. Siswa asimilasi sedang mampu memenuhi tiga indikator proses yaitu merumuskan konteks secara matematis, menggunakan konsep matematika, fakta dan prosedur, dan menerapkan dan mengevaluasi penyelesaian masalah pada sebagian soal. Siswa asimilasi bawah hanya mampu merumuskan konteks secara matematis. Siswa konvergen atas dan tengah mampu merumuskan konteks secara matematis, menggunakan konsep matematika, fakta dan prosedur, dan menerapkan dan mengevaluasi penyelesaian masalah pada sebagian soal. Siswa konvergen bawah hanya mampu merumuskan konteks secara matematis. Siswa akomodasi atas dan tengah mampu merumuskan konteks secara matematis, menggunakan konsep matematika, fakta dan prosedur, dan menerapkan dan mengevaluasi penyelesaian masalah pada sebagian soal. Siswa akomodasi bawah hanya mampu memenuhi satu indikator proses yaitu merumuskan konteks secara matematis. | |||||||||
