Abstract

Improving student learning outcomes is needed in this modern era. Therefore, it is necessary to have an innovative learning model that is able to encourage students' learning motivation in order to improve their learning abilities. Numberred Heads Together (NHT) is one of the learning models chosen by researchers to be able to grow students' learning motivation. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the implementation of the NHT learning model on improving student learning outcomes on acid-base material. This research is a quantitative research with a pre-experimental design centered on improving learning outcomes. This research uses One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Determination of the sample is done by purposive sampling. The sample used in this study is a class XI IPA II as many as 26 students at SMA Negeri 1 Cihara. The increase in student outcomes was measured using a multiple choice test instrument that had been validated using the Gregory Test with a 2x2 matrix table. The data were analyzed statistically using a paired sample t test with a significance level of 0.05 and a descriptive test using the N-gain test measurement. The average N-Gain value in this study was 0,53. Of the 26 students, 3 of them were in the high category, 22 were in the medium category, and 1 was in the low category. The research results show that there is a positive influence from the implementation of the NHT learning model on improving student learning outcomes in Acid Base material. Thus it can be seen that on average there is an increase in student learning outcomes in the medium category. Student learning outcomes increase by using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model.

Additional Information: Peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik sangat diperlukan di era modern ini. Oleh sebab itu dibutuhkan adanya suatu inovasi model pembelajaran yang mampu mendorong motivasi belajar peserta didik agar bisa meningkatkan kemampuan belajarnya. Numberred Heads Together (NHT) adalah salah satu model pembelajaran yang menjadi pilihan peneliti untuk bisa menumbuhkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitianini yaitu dapat mengetahui pengaruh dari implementasi model pembelajaran NHT terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi asam basa. Penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan pre eksperimental yang berpusat pada peningkatan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian merupakan peserta didik kelas XI IPA II sebanyak 26 peserta didik di SMA Negri 1 Cihara. Peningkatan hasil peserta didik diukur menggunakan instrument soal tes pilihan ganda yang telah divalidasi menggunakan Uji Gregory dengan tabel matriks 2x2. Data dianalisis secara statistic menggunakan uji paired sampel t test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 dan uji deskriptif menggunakan pengukuran Uji N-gain. Adapun hasil rata-rata nilai N-Gain pada penelitian ini sebesar 0,53. Dari 26 peserta didik, 3 diantaranya masuk dalam kategori tinggi, 22 masuk dalam kategori sedang, dan 1 dalam kategori rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh positif dari implementasi model pembelajaran NHT terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi Asam Basa. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa rata-rata terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam kategori sedang. Hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together (NHT).
