Abstract

For mentally retarded children, educational programs are needed that encourage the development of life skills and vocational skills that foster life independence and vocational skills. Cisarua Agro Industry SLB, West Bandung Regency, has a superior skills program, namely learning agricultural skills for mentally retarded children. It is hoped that learning agricultural skills for mentally retarded children can expand opportunities for mentally retarded children to enter the world of work and develop children's independence to be able to live in society (Ira A, et al. 2019:03). The aim of this research is to describe and explain the implementation of agricultural skills learning for mentally retarded children based on the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Agriculture Regulation number 22 2021 article 7 concerning the application of cultivation in good horticultural practices at Skh Agro Industri using a qualitative descriptive research approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity was carried out using data triangulation techniques. And analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the implementation of agricultural skills learning for mentally retarded children is based on the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Agriculture Regulation number 22 of 2021 Article 7 concerning the application of cultivation in good horticultural practices in Agro-Industrial SLB is not yet appropriate, because there are no teachers who professionals in the agricultural sector, in terms of infrastructure, there are still several learning support facilities that do not yet exist, such as the absence of special facilities or special storage areas for fertilizers and pesticides that have been used, then composting facilities for organic materials and agricultural tools, which are still limited in number.

Additional Information: Pada anak tunagrahita diperlukan program pendidikan yang mendorong pada pengembangan kecakapan hidup dan keterampilan vokasional yang menumbuhkan kemandirian hidup dan kecakapan vokasi. SLB Agro Industri Cisarua Kabupaten Bandung Barat, memiliki program keterampilan unggulan yaitu pembelajaran keterampilan pertanian pada anak tunagrahita. Pembelajaran keterampilan pertanian pada anak tunagrahita diharapkan dapat memperluas peluang anak tunagrahita masuk ke dunia kerja dan mengembangkankan kemandirian anak untuk dapat hidup di tengah masyarakat (Ira A, dkk. 2019:03). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan tentang pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan pertanian pada anak tunagrahita berdasarkan Permentan RI nomor 22 tahun 2021 pasal 7 tentang penerapan budi daya dalam praktik hortikultura yang baik di Skh Agro Industri dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi data. Dan dianalisis dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarika kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran keterampilan pertanian pada anak tunagrahita berdasarkan Permentan RI nomor 22 tahun 2021 pasal 7 tentang penerapan budi daya dalam praktik hortikultura yang baik di SLB Agro Industri belum sesuai, karena dari pengajar belum adanya pengajar yang profesional di bidang pertanian dalam segi sarana prasarana masih ada beberapa fasilitas penunjang pembelajaran yang belum ada seperti belum adanya fasilitas khusus atau tempat penyimpanan khusus untuk pupuk dan pestisida yang telah digunakan, kemudian fasilitas pengomposan untuk bahan organik dan alat-alat pertanian yang jumlahnya masih terbatas.
