Abstract
The purpose of this research was to examine the influence of different concentrations of Benzyl Amino Purine on the shoot multiplication of Banten local mangosteen plants (Garcinia mangostana) from seeds in vitro. The study was conducted from August to November 2023 at the plant physiology and biotechnology laboratory of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University's Faculty of Agriculture. A randomized block design was implemented, with a single factor consisting of four treatment levels of Benzyl Amino Purine concentration (1, 3, 5, and 7 ppm). The findings revealed that the concentration of Benzyl Amino Purine had a significant impact on the number of leaves the plants produced at 8 weeks after planting (3.50 sheet), resulting in a 93.75% success rate of live explants, resulting in 11.09% of browning percentages and resulting in 6.25% of contamination percentages. However, the concentration levels did not have a significant effect on other measured parameters, such as shoot emergence time, leave emergence time, number of shoot, and shoot length.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat konsentrasi Benzyl Amino Purine terhadap multiplikasi tunas tanaman manggis lokal Banten (Garcinia mangostana) asal biji secara in vitro. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan November 2023 di Laboratorium Fisiologi dan Bioteknologi Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) satu faktor. Konsentrasi Benzyl Amino Purine yang digunakan terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu 1, 3, 5, dan 7 ppm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh nyata pada parameter jumlah daun dengan perlakuan terbaik 3 ppm BAP menghasilkan rerata jumlah daun 3,50 helai daun. Kemudian, untuk parameter persentase eksplan hidup mencapai 93,75%, persentase pencoklatan (browning) adalah 11,09%, dan persentase kontaminasi adalah 6,25%. Konsentrasi zat pengatur tumbuh Benzyl Amino Purin (BAP) berpengaruh tidak nyata pada parameter pengamatan waktu muncul tunas, jumlah tunas, panjang tunas, dan waktu muncul daun. | |||||||||
