Abstract

The research was aimed to know the accuracy of variations in plant spacing and dosage levels of NPK fertilizer in peanut growth and yield. This research was conducted at Field experimental Karang Kitri, Banten Province from January until April 2023. This research used a Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) as Factorial. The first factor was the variations in planting distance which consisted of 3 levels: 40 cm x 20 cm (j1), 40 cm x 30 cm (j2), and 40 cm x 40 cm (j3). The second factor was the dose level of NPK fertilizer which consisted of 3 levels: 200 kg/ha (p1), 250 kg/ha (p2), and 300 kg/ha (p3). Each treatment was repeated three times. The research observation parameters consisted of plant height, number of leaves, the number of filled pods per plant, wet weight of pods per plant, dry weight of pods per plant, and dry weight of pods per hectare. The result showed that the 40 cm x 30 cm spacing gave the best results to parameters of the number of filled pods per plant (35.17 g), wet weight of pods per plant (35.17 g), dry weight of pods per plant (32.93 g), and dry weight of pods per hectare (2.55 ton/ha). The NPK fertilizer dosage level did not have a significant effect on all parameters. In addition, there was no interaction between the two treatments.

Additional Information: Kacang Tanah merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian yang cukup penting setelah kacang kedelai. Kacang tanah memiliki peran strategis nasional sebagai sumber protein dan minyak nabati. Kacang tanah juga mengandung protein 27%, karbohidrat 18%, lemak 40-50% dan vitamin. Variasi jarak tanam dan tingkat dosis pupuk NPK yang digunakan untuk budidaya tanaman Kacang Tanah sangat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan hasil dari tanaman ini. Penggunaan tingkat dosis pupuk NPK yang berlebihan berpotensi merusak kesehatan tanah, sementara penggunaan variasi jarak tanam yang tidak tepat dapat menjadi faktor pembatas tumbuh dan menyebabkan pertumbuhan serta hasil tanaman kacang tanah tidak maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan ketepatan variasi jarak tanam dan tingkat dosis pupuk NPK dalam pertumbuhan dan hasil kacang tanah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Lahan Percobaan Karang Kitri pada bulan JanuariApril 2023. Rancangan Penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor, faktor pertama yakni variasi jarak tanam yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu jarak tanam 40 cm x 20 cm (j1), jarak tanam 40 cm x 30 cm (j2), jarak tanam 40 cm x 40 cm (j3), kemudian faktor kedua yakni tingkat dosis pupuk NPK yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu 200kg/ha, 250kg/ha, dan 300 kg/ha. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi jarak tanam 40 cm x 30 cm (j2) memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada jumlah polong berisi per tanaman (35,71 polong), berat basah polong berisi per tanaman (35,17 g), berat kering polong berisi per tanaman (32,93 g), berat polong kering per hektar (2,55 ton/ha).
