Abstract
Understanding concepts is one of the keys to students' success in learning physics. By understanding the concept well, students can solve the problems in the questions well too. This research aims to analyze students' difficulties in understanding centripetal acceleration and centripetal force using two different methods and the factors causing their difficulties. In this case, researchers used the YouTube video platform as a medium to find out students' difficulties in understanding the material. This research uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive design. The research was conducted on 30 grade 11 MIPA 2 students at SMAN 1 Panggarangan by giving a written test in the form of reasoned multiple choice and interviews with 10 students selected based on grade categories. Before the interview, students were asked to watch a YouTube video about centripetal acceleration and centripetal force. The results of the research show that these two videos have not been able to make students understand the concept of centripetal acceleration and centripetal force, there are still many concepts that they do not understand, such as the magnitude of linear velocity and angular velocity, the direction of centripetal acceleration and centripetal force, the derivation of the formula for centripetal acceleration and force. centripetal, the reason why centripetal acceleration and centripetal force are directed towards the center and why the direction of linear velocity is tangential to the trajectory. From these results it can be concluded that students' understanding of the concepts of centripetal force and centripetal acceleration is still low. Internal factors that influence the occurrence of difficulties are not understanding the concept, interest in learning physics and physical condition. The external factors that cause learning difficulties based on research results are online learning, poor time management and the learning environment.

Additional Information: | Pemahaman konsep merupakan salah satu kunci dalam keberhasilan siswa belajar fisika. Dengan pemahaman konsep yang baik maka siswa dapat memecahkan permasalahan dalam soal dengan baik pula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan siswa dalam memahami percepatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal menggunakan dua metode berebeda dan faktor penyebab kesulitannya. Dalam hal ini peneliti menggunakan platform video YouTube sebagai media dalam mengetahu kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan kepada 30 siswa kelas 11 MIPA 2 SMAN 1 Panggarangan dengan memberikan tes tertulis berupa pilihan ganda beralasan dan wawancara terhadap 10 orang siswa yang dipilih berdasarkan kategori nilai. Sebelum dilakukan wawancara, siswa diminta untuk menonton video YouTube mengenai percepatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedua video tersebut belum mampu membuat siswa menjadi paham konsep dari perceatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal, masih banyak konsep yang belum mereka pahami seperti besaran kecepatan linear dan keceatan sudut, arah dari percepatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal, penurunan rumus percepatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal, alasan mengapa percepatan sentripetal dan gaya sentripetal mengarah ke pusat dan mengapa arah kecepatan linear menyinggung lintasan. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep gaya sentripetal dan percepatan sentripetal masih rendah. Faktor internal yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kesulitan adalah belum memahami konsep, minat belajar fisika dan kondisi fisik. adapun faktor eksternal penyebab kesulitan belajar berdasarkan hasil penelitian adalah pembelajaran daring, manajemen waktu kurang baik dan lingkungan belajar. | |||||||||
