Abstract
This study aims to find out how the effectiveness of the direct instruction model is in improving vocational skills in arranging artificial flowers in children with mental retardation. The research method used is a quantitative experiment using the One Group Pre-test Post-test. The subjects of this research were 3 students of class X SMALB. The instrument used in the effectiveness of the direct instruction model in improving vocational skills in arranging artificial flowers in children with mental retardation is a performance test in the form of an assessment sheet. The results showed that the average value received by students before being given treatment (pre-test) was 51, after being given treatment the average value received by students (post-test) increased to 84. The results of statistical tests showed that the direct instruction model effective in improving the vocational skills of artificial flower arrangement in children with mental retardation

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah keefektivitasan model direct instruction dalam meningkatkan keterampilan vokasional merangkai bunga artificial pada anak tunagrahita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif eksperimen dengan mengggunakan One Group Pre-test Post-test. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa kelas X SMALB. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam efektivitas model direct instruction dalam meningkatkan keterampilan vokasional merangkai bunga artificial pada anak tunagrahita adalah tes kinerja berupa lembar penilaiaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai rata-rata yang diterima siswa sebelum diberikan perlakuan (pre-test) adalah sebesar 51, setelah diberikan perlakuan nilai rata-rata yang diterima oleh siswa (post-test) meningkat menjadi 84. Hasil uji statistic menunjukan bahwa model direct instruction efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan vokasional merangkai bunga artificial pada anak tunagrahita. | |||||||||
