Abstract
Integrated Transportation Area of Merak is the only area in Banten that features three modes of public transportation within one region: a Railway Station, a Sea Port, and a Bus Terminal. However, despite the completeness of transportation modes, there are still several challenges in some pedestrian facilities that hinder connectivity in the area. This research focuses on the design of pedestrian facilities in the Integrated Transportation Area of Merak using direct observation methods. The objective of this study is to understand the characteristics of pedestrian movement using facilities in the Integrated Transportation Area of Merak and to provide a design recommendation to enhance connectivity in the Merak Transportation Area. The results obtained from this research indicate that the movement characteristics in segment 1 have space service rating F and volume service rating C. For segment 2, it has space service rating B and volume service rating A, while segment 3 has space service rating E and volume service rating B. Recommended pedestrian facilities for enhancing connectivity include zebra crossings, lighting, bollards, curbs, CCTV, panic buttons, emergency boxes, shaded roofs, benches, plants, trash bins, guiding tiles, wayfinding, signs, road markers, and safety fences.

Additional Information: | awasan Transportasi Terpadu Merak adalah kawasan satu satunya di Banten yang memiliki tiga moda transportasi umum dalam satu wiliayah yaitu Stasiun Kereta Api, Pelabuhan Kapal Laut, dan Terminal Bus, namun terlepas dari lengkapnya moda transportasi masih ada beberapa kendala dibeberapa fasilitas pejalan kaki yang membuat konektivitas di wilayah tersebut menjadi terhambat. Penelitian ini membahas tentang perancangan fasilitas pejalan kaki di Kawasan Transportasi Terpadu Merak dengan metode observasi langsung. Penelitan ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik pegerakan pejalan kaki yang memakai fasilitas di Kawasan Transportasi Terpadu Merak, serta memberikan perancangan desain yang bisa direkomendasikan untuk menunjang konektivitas di Kawasan Transportasi Merak. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitan ini adalah dapat mengetahui bahwa karakteristik pegerakan berdasarkan tingkat pelayanan volume berdasarkan arus pejalan kaki sedangkan untuk pelayanan ruang berdasarkan rata rata ruang, maka pada segmen 1 mempunyai pelayanan ruang F serta pelayanan C, sedangkan untuk segmen 2 mempunyai pelayanan ruang B serta pelayanan volume A, dan segmen 3 memiliki pelayanan ruang E serta pelayanan volume B. Perancangan fasilitas pejalan kaki yang direkomendasikan untuk menunjang konektivitas berupa zebra cross, pencahayaan, bolar, kerb, CCTV, panic button, emergency box, atap peneduh, bangku, tanaman, tempat sampah, ubin pemandu, wayfinding, rambu, penanda jalan, dan pagar pengaman. | |||||||||
