Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the growth response and yield of two varieties of purple eggplant with different concentration levels of AB Mix in the hydroponic kratky system. This research was conducted at the Agricultural Instrument Standardization Center of Banten Province and the Plant Physiology and Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa from March to June 2023. The research was designed using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor was variety consisting of 2 levels, which are Yuvita variety and Pertiwi variety. The second factor was the concentration of AB Mix nutrients consisting of 3 levels, which are 1850, 2250, and 2650 ppm. The parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, flowering age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit diameter per plant, fruit length per plant, plant fresh weight, and, plant dry weight. The results of the research showed that Pertiwi variety treatment was the best treatment for the parameters of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, number of fruit per plant, fruit diameter per plant, plant wet weight, and plant dry weight. AB Mix treatment with a concentration of 2250 ppm given 5-10 weeks after planting is the best treatment for the parameters of number of fruit per plant and fruit diameter per plant. There was an interaction between the purple eggplant plant variety treatment and the AB Mix nutrient concentration treatment on the parameters of flowering age, fruit weight per plant, and fruit length per plant.

Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil dua varietas terong ungu dengan kadar AB Mix yang berbeda pada sistem hidroponik kratky. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Standardisasi Instrumen Pertanian Provinsi Banten dan Laboratorium Fisiologi dan Bioteknologi Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa pada bulan Maret sampai dengan Juni 2023. Penelitian dirancang dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah varietas yang terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu varietas Yuvita dan varietas Pertiwi. Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi nutrisi AB Mix yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu 1850, 2250, dan 2650 ppm. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun, umur berbunga, jumlah buah per tanaman, bobot buah per tanaman, diameter buah per tanaman, panjang buah per tanaman, bobot segar tanaman, dan bobot kering tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan varietas Pertiwi merupakan perlakuan terbaik terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun, jumlah buah per tanaman, diameter buah per tanaman, berat basah tanaman, dan berat kering tanaman. Perlakuan AB Mix dengan konsentrasi 2250 ppm yang diberikan pada umur 5-10 minggu setelah tanam merupakan perlakuan terbaik untuk parameter jumlah buah per tanaman dan diameter buah per tanaman. Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan varietas tanaman terong ungu dan perlakuan konsentrasi hara AB Mix terhadap parameter umur berbunga, berat buah per tanaman, dan panjang buah per tanaman. | |||||||||
