Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of teachers in changing learning behavior in Civics learning at At-Thohiriyah Junior High School. It also aimed to identify changes in behavior during the Civics learning process. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection involved interviews, observations, and documentation. The study found that the teacher's role in promoting behavior change in Civics learning had been effectively carried out, as evidenced by the implementation of educational activities by the teachers and the observed changes in students' behavior. There are factors that hinder the teacher's role in changing student behavior, which can be divided into two categories. Internal factors are related to educational institutions such as schools, teachers, facilities, infrastructure, and inadequate supervision of teachers' roles. External factors include student motivation, distractions, and the influence of juvenile delinquency, which can impede changes in learning behavior. To address these hindering factors, it is recommended to continuously improve learning facilities, enhance professionalism among educators, provide periodic supervision of educational institutions, and monitor students who may exhibit negative behavior.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peran guru terhadap perubahan perilaku belajar pada pembelajaran PPKn di Sekolah SMP At-Thohiriyah. Serta mengetahui perubahan perilaku dari proses pembelajaran PPKn. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dengan melakukan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa peran guru sebagai upaya untuk merubah perilaku pada pembelajaran PPKn telah dilaksanakan dengan baik, yang dibuktikan dengan terlaksananya peran guru dalam menjalankan kegiatan pendidikan, dan adanya perubahan perilaku yang dialami oleh peserta didik. Adanya faktor penghambat peran guru dalam merubah perilaku peserta didik yaitu terbagi menjadi dua faktor. Faktor internal yang berkaitan dengan penyelenggara kegiatan pendidikan seperti sekolah, guru, sarana dan prasarana serta lembaga yang kurang memberikan pengawasan terhadap peran guru. faktor eksternal yang berkaitan pada motivasi peserta didik, pergaulan bebas dan pengaruh kenakalan remaja yang dapat menghambat perubahan perilaku belajar. Solusi dari faktor penghambat tersebut adalah terus melakukan perbaikan pada sarana belajar, meningkatkan profesionalisme sebagai pendidik, pengawasan berkala dari lembaga pendidikan, serta pengawasan kepada peserta didik yang dapat berpengaruh pada perilaku yang buruk.
