Abstract
The agricultural sector in the national development order holds important role because besides aiming to provide food for the entire population, it is also a factor contributing to foreign exchange from the non-oil and gas sector. An agricultural development strategy, particularly in the food sector, would be more appropriate if linked to changes in choosing and efficiently utilizing community resource strengths and policies to achieve wider food self-sufficiency. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of age, education, experience and land area on the adoption of soybean cultivation seed innovations. This research uses a descriptive research type with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study were 40 respondents to farmers in Ujung Tebu Village, Ciomas District. The results showed that age has a significant influence on innovation adoption decisions, education has no significant influence on innovation adoption decisions, experience has a significant influence on innovation adoption decisions and land area has a significant influence on innovation adoption decisions.

| Additional Information: | Sektor pertanian dalam tatanan pembangunan nasional memegang peranan penting karena selain bertujuan untuk menyediakan pangan bagi seluruh penduduk, juga merupakan salah satu faktor penyumbang devisa negara dari sektor nonmigas. Strategi pembangunan pertanian, khususnya di bidang pangan, akan lebih tepat jika dikaitkan dengan perubahan dalam memilih dan memanfaatkan kekuatan sumber daya masyarakat dan kebijakan secara efisien untuk mencapai swasembada pangan yang lebih luas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur, pendidikan, pengalaman dan luas lahan terhadap adopsi inovasi benih budidaya kedelai. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 40 responden petani di Desa Ujung Tebu Kecamatan Ciomas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan adopsi inovasi, pendidikan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan adopsi inovasi, pengalaman berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan adopsi inovasi dan luas lahan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan adopsi inovasi | |||||||||
