Abstract
Communities who are in disaster-prone areas will certainly panic if there are doubts about the existence of disaster information. Therefore KMSB in Walikukun Village helps to reduce the level of anxiety that exists in the community. This is indicated by the development of information about the signs of a disaster, the potential for future disasters can be confirmed through the process of selecting information. This study aims to identify and analyze efforts to reduce disaster risk, Disaster Preparedness community groups using Karl Weick's theory in identifying and assessing organizational information processes. As a region that has the potential and is often hit by disasters, it will certainly cause concern in the community. The Disaster Preparedness Community Group (KMSB) in Walikukun Village, Serang Regency, helps to reduce the level of anxiety in the community. This is indicated by the development of information regarding the signs of a disaster, the truth of the potential for an upcoming disaster can be confirmed. This study aims to identify and analyze the organizational information process using the Karl Weick approach that was carried out by KMSB Walikukun in an effort to reduce disaster risk through information selection to reduce the ambiguity of disaster information. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, because the researcher wants to describe the conditions observed in the field in a more specific, transparent and in�depth manner. This study attempts to describe situations and events so that the data to be collected is descriptive in nature to identify the information environment in KMSB. The results of this study indicate that the KMSB in Walikukun Village has (1) information about potential locations that are vulnerable to disasters and signs of disaster coming from various parties, both internal and external parties. (2) KMSB Walikukun Village manages information through making social disaster maps and transchecks which are then made a priority scale. (3) In using and communicating information that has been decided through media meetings, forums and communication media, as well as involving third parties in the follow-up process for disaster management efforts. If associated with the assumptions of the theory that underlies this research, it can be concluded that an organization that wants to maintain its existence in the midst of the community must be prepared with various information that comes. This is because the organization cannot be separated from the information environment which can lead to ambiguity in the process of receiving it. KMSB Walikukun is required to be able to understand this information through information processing so that useful information can be found for the organization and feedback can be made on that information..

| Additional Information: | Sebagai wilayah yang berpotensi dan kerap kali dilanda bencana tentu akan menimbulkan kehawatiran di masyarakat. Kelompok Masyarakat Siaga Bencana (KMSB) di Desa Walikukun Kabupaten Serang, membantu untuk menurunkan tingkat kecemasan yang ada di masyarakat. Hal ini ditandai dengan informasi-informasi yang berkembang mengenai tanda-tanda bencana, potensi bencana yang akan datang dapat dikonfirmasikan kebenarannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis proses informasi organisasional dengan pendekatan Karl Weick yang dilakukuan KMSB Walikukun dalam upaya mengurangi resiko bencana melalui.penseleksian informasi untuk mengurangi ketidakjelasan informasi bencana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, karena peneliti ingin mendeskripsikan keadaan yang diamati di lapangan dengan lebih spesifik, transparan, dan mendalam. Penelitian ini berusaha menggambarkan situasi dan kejadian sehingga data yang akan terkumpul bersifat deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi lingkungan informasi di KMSB. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan KMSB di Desa Walikukun terdapat (1) Informasi tentang potensi lokasi yang rentan akan bencana dan tanda-tanda bencana datang dari berbagai pihak, baik dari pihak internal maupun external. (2) KMSB Desa Walikukun mengelola informasi melalui pembuatan peta social bencana dan Transcheck yang kemudian dibuat skala prioritas. (3) Dalam menggunakan dan mengkomunikasikan informasi yang telah diputuskan melalui media rapat forum dan media komunikasi, serta melibatkan pihak ketiga dalam proses tindak lanjut upaya penangulangan bencana. Jika dikaitkan dengan asumsi dari teori yang melandasi penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa organisasi yang ingin mempertahankan keberadaannya di tengah-tengah lingkungan masyarakat harus siap dengan berbagai informasi yang datang. Demikian karena organisasi tidak bisa lepas dari lingkungan informasi yang bisa saja menimbulkan ketidakjelasan dalam proses menerimanya. KMSB Walikukun dituntut harus dapat memahami informasi tersebut melalui pemrosesan informasi sehingga dapat ditemukan informasi yang berguna bagi organisasi dan dapat dilakukan umpan balik terhadap informasi tersebut. | |||||||||
