Abstract
Pencak silat is a martial art original from Indonesia which has been passed down from our ancestors. Over time, pencak silat has now developed and become a forum for strengthening friendship, as educational material, cultural arts, and as a tool for achieving achievements. One of the supports in the achievement of pencak silat is the training method. This study aims to determine the effect of the ladder drill training method on sickle kick speed. Research using a quantitative approach to the experimental method. Data collection techniques were carried out using field observations (observations), literature studies, and measurement tests by conducting pretest and posttest. The test is carried out by kicking the right and left legs with a sickle kick for 10 seconds. The amount of the contribution of the ladder drill exercise given to the speed of the men's sickle kick is 20% for the right leg and 16% for the left leg, while for women it is 19% for the right leg and 31% for the left leg, with t count = 6.398 > t table = 2.100, while in the left sickle kick table data obtain t count 6.056 > t table 2.100. Based on these data, it can be concluded that ladder drill training can increase the speed of the sickle kick of the PPS Satria Muda Indonesia Unit Serang City athlete.

Additional Information: | Pencak silat merupakan beladiri yang berasal dari Indonesia yang diwariskan sejak nenek moyang. Seiring berjalannya waktu pencak silat sekarang sudah berkembang dan menjadi sebuah wadah untuk mempererat tali silaturahmi, sebagai materi pendidikan, seni budaya, dan sebagai alat untuk mencapai prestasi. Salah satu penunjang dalam prestasi pencak silat tersebut diantaranya adalah metode latihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari metode latihan ladder drill terhadap kecepatan tendangan sabit. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan menggunakan pengamatan lapangan (observasi), studi kepustakaan, serta tes pengukuran dengan melakukan pretest dan post test. Tes dilakukan dengan melakukan tendangan sabit kaki kanan dan kiri dengan waktu 10 detik. Besarnya kontribusi latihan ladder drill yang diberikan terhadap kecepatan tendangan sabit putra yaitu sebesar 20% untuk kaki kanan dan 16% untuk kaki kiri, sedangkan untuk putri yaitu sebesar 19% untuk kaki kanan dan 31% untuk kaki kiri, dengan nilai t hitung = 6,398 > t tabel = 2,100, sedangkan pada data tabel tendangan sabit kiri memperoleh t hitung 6,056 > t tabel 2,100. Berdasarkan data tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan ladder drill dapat meningkatkan kecepatan tendangan sabit atlet PPS Satria Muda Indonesia Unit Kota Serang. | |||||||||
