Abstract

The purposed of this research to determine the effect of Liquidity proxy with Current Ratio (QR) on Firm Value which proxied by Tobin’s Q with Profitability proxied by Return on Asset (ROA) as intervening variable. The population in this study were all the Idx 30 index companies which listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange periode of 2012-2019. The sample in this study were 11 companies out of 30 population obtained through purposive sampling method. Data analysis techniques used in this study were partial test (t test) and intervening regression mediation test (causal step). The results of this research are: (1) Liquidity (CR) positive and not significant effect to Firm Value (Tobin’s Q), (2) Liquidity (CR) positive and significant effect to Profitability (ROA), (3) Profitability (ROA) positive and significant effect to Firm Value (Tobin’s Q), (4) Profitability (ROA) is able to mediate the effect of Liquidity (CR) on Firm Value (Tobin’s Q).

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Likuiditas yang diproksikan oleh Current Ratio (CR) terhadap Nilai Perusahaan yang diproksikan oleh Tobin’s Q dengan Profitabilitas yang diproksikan oleh Return on Asset (ROA) sebagai variabel intervening. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan indeks Idx 30 yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama periode 2012-2019. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 11 perusahaan dari total 30 populasi yang diperoleh melalui metode purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji parsial (uji t) dan regresi intervening (kausal step). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Likuiditas (CR) berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan (Tobin’s Q), (2) Likuiditas (CR) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Profitabilitas (ROA), (3) Profitabilitas (ROA) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan (Tobin’s Q), (4) Profitabilitas (ROA) mampu memediasi hubungan antara Likuiditas (CR) terhadap Nilai Perusahaan (Tobin’s Q).
