Abstract
Indonesia is currently still faced with multiple nutritional problems, namely malnutrition which has not been resolved and the problem of excess nutrition or obesity which is starting to increase. The percentage of obesity (BB/TB) in Banten province in 2016-2018 based on the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) has increased every year. Obesity will have an impact on decreased learning achievement and psychosocial impacts that can be influenced by various factors including history of exclusive breastfeeding. A history of exclusive breastfeeding can prevent the occurrence of obesity in children so that it can promote healthy child growth and improve cognitive development. This study aims to analyze the relationship between history of exclusive breastfeeding and obesity in kindergarten children in the city of Serang. Methods: The study design used cross-sectional analysis. Subject: Kindergarten children in Serang City area. The sampling technique in this study was simple random sampling of 121 children. Samples were taken using probability sampling technique, namely simple random sampling from both locations. Each location will be taken 67 children. Data collection was measured using a questionnaire and anthropometric examination. This research was carried out by chi square analysis and logistic regression with a significant p- value <0.05. Results: There were 21 children with obesity with a prevalence of 15.7% and a history of exclusive breastfeeding in 109 children with a prevalence of 81.3%. There is a relationship between a history of exclusive breastfeeding and obesity in children aged 4-6 years. A history of exclusive breastfeeding reduces the risk of obesity 0.124 times compared to children who have a history of non-exclusive breastfeeding. (p-value <0.05)

| Additional Information: | Indonesia saat ini masih dihadapkan dengan berbagai permasalahan gizi ganda yaitu gizi kurang yang belum teratasi dan masalah gizi lebih atau obesitas yang mulai meningkat. Persentase obesitas di provinsi Banten tahun 2016- 2018 berdasarkan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Obesitas akan berdampak pada penurunan prestasi belajar dan dampak psikososial yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor salah satunya yaitu riwayat pemberian ASI eksklusif. Riwayat pemberian ASI eksklusif dapat mencegah terjadinya obesitas pada anak sehingga dapat mendorong pertumbuhan anak yang sehat dan meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan riwayat pemberian ASI ekslusif dengan obesitas pada anak TK di wilayah Kota Serang. Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan analitik cross-sectional. Subjek: anak TK wilayah Kota Serang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian adalah simple random sampling sebanyak 121 anak. Sampel diambil dengan teknik probability sampling yaitu simple random sampling dari kedua lokasi. Tiap Lokasi akan diambil 67 anak. Pengambilan data diukur menggunakan kuesioner dan pemeriksaan antropometri. Penelitian ini dilakukan analisis chi square dan regresi logistic dengan pvalue <0,05 bermakna. Hasil: obesitas pada anak sebanyak 21 anak dengan prevalensi 15,7% dan riwayat pemberian ASI ekslusif sebanyak 109 anak dengan prevalensi sebesar 81,3%. Terdapat hubungan antara riwayat pemberian ASI Ekslusif dengan obesitas pada anak usia 4-6 tahun. Riwayat pemberian ASI ekslusif menurunkan risiko 0,124 kali untuk terjadinya obesitas dibandingkan dengan anak yang mempunyai riwayat diberikan ASI tidak eksklusif. (p-value<0,05) | |||||||||
