E-Government is an effort based implementation using electronic governance in order to improve the quality of public service effectively and efficiently. Purpose of this study was to determine how the implementation of e-government in Tax Office (KPP Pratama) Serang, barriers to implementation and how efforts to overcome these obstacles. This study using the theory of Richardus Eko Indrajit (2005) about the implementation of e-government indicators, namely: Content Development, Competency Building, Connectivity, Cyber Laws, Citizen Interfaces, and Capital with the qualitative methods. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis using a model of Miles and Huberman, consist of Data Collection, Data Reduction, Data Presentation and Verification. The conclusion is that the implementation of eGovernment implementation in Tax Office (KPP Pratama) Serang have not been going well and optimal. Then the recommendation in this research is to maximize the tax office (KPP Pratama) Serang can be more variety of media available service, especially services performed by an online system such as e-Registration, e-SPT as e-Filing and that can make it easy for taxpayers in doing his tax liability. While also order a variety of services that can be done more effectively, efficiently, and can provide satisfaction for the taxpayer, so that taxpayers can switch to a system of electronic tax services online.
