Abstract

Several previous studies have shown that the Creative Problem Solving learning model can improve students' numeracy skills, but no research has yet been found that implements the Creative Problem Solving model to improve students' numeracy skills in terms of instructional level. This study aims to describe: (1) increasing the numeracy literacy skills of MA students who receive the Creative Problem Solving model compared to students who receive Scientific learning; (2) an increase in the numeracy literacy skills of MA students at the independent level compared to students at the instruction level and frustration level; and (3) the effect of the interaction between the learning model and instructional level on increasing the numeracy literacy skills of MA students. This research is an experimental research type with a 3 x 2 factorial design. The population in this study were students of class X IPA MAN 2 Serang City, the research sample was selected by two classes as the experimental and control classes by random cluster sampling. The instruments used are numeracy literacy tests and instructional level tests. The results of this study concluded that: (1) the improvement of the numerical literacy skills of MA students who received the Creative Problem Solving model was better than students who received Scientific learning; (2) the improvement of the numeracy literacy skills of MA independent level students is better than students at the instruction level and frustration level; and (3) there is an interaction effect between the learning model and instructional level on increasing the numeracy literacy skills of MA students. Improving the numerical literacy skills of instruction level students who get the Creative Problem Solving model is better than instruction level students who get scientific learning, but not better for independent level and frustration level students.

Additional Information: Beberapa penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa, namun belum ditemukan penelitian yang mengimplementasi model Creative Problem Solving untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa ditinjau dari instructional level. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan : (1) peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa MA yang mendapatkan model Creative Problem Solving dibandingkan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran Saintifik; (2) peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa MA independent level dibandingkan siswa instruction level dan frustration level; dan (3) pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan instructional level terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa MA. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 3 x 2. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA MAN 2 Kota Serang, sampel penelitian dipilih dua kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kontrol secara cluster randam sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes literasi numerasi dan tes instructional level. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa : (1) peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa MA yang mendapatkan model Creative Problem Solving lebih baik dari pada siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran Saintifik; (2) peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa MA independent level lebih baik dari siswa instruction level dan frustration level; serta (3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan instructional level terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa MA. Peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa instruction level yang mendapatkan model Creative Problem Solving lebih baik dari siswa instruction level yang mendapatkan pembelajaran Saintifik, namun tidak lebih baik pada siswa independent level dan frustration level.
