Abstract
Crabs are one of the animals that live in association with mangroves. The important role of crabs in the mangrove ecosystems because crabs are detrivores that help decompose mangroves. This study aims to determine the diversity of crabs, mapping the potential locations of crab diversity, the correlation between satellite imagery analysis and crab diversity in the Pulau Dua Nature Reserve, and the contribution of research results as an initial study of the development of learning tools on the sub-concept of ecosystem components. Sampling of crab diversity was carried out using roaming and trapping methods, and remote sensing methods to determine the mapping of potential locations for crab diversity from satellite imagery data. The results of the study found 12 species from 9 genera and 5 families. The diversity index value (H') is included in the medium category with a value of H' = 2.105. Based on the analysis of satellite imagery using MNDWI (Modified Normalized Difference Water Index), the location with the highest potential for crab diversity is at point 3 with coordinates 6°01'06.2"S 106°11'52.4"E. The correlation between satellite imagery analysis based on MNDWI with crab diversity is weak with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.205. The results of this study can be implemented in education in the form of material analysis at KD 3.10 and KD 4.10 in High School class X.

Additional Information: | Kepiting merupakan salah satu hewan yang hidup berasosiasi dengan mangrove. Pentingnya peran kepiting pada ekosistem mangrove karena kepiting merupakan detrivor yang membantu dekomposisi pada mangrove. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman kepiting, pemetaan lokasi potensi keanekaragaman kepiting, hubungan analisis citra satelit dengan keanekaragaman kepiting di Cagar Alam Pulau Dua, dan kontribusi hasil penelitian sebagai studi awal pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran pada subkonsep komponen ekosistem. Pengambilan sampel keanekaragaman kepiting dilakukan dengan metode jelajah dan metode perangkap, dan metode penginderaan jauh untuk mengetahui pemetaan lokasi potensi keanekaragaman kepiting dari data citra satelit. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 12 spesies dari 9 genus dan 5 famili. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H’) termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai H’ = 2,105. Berdasarkan analisis citra satelit menggunakan indeks MNDWI (Modified Normalized Difference Water Index) lokasi yang berpotensi memiliki keanekaragaman kepiting tertinggi yaitu pada titik 3 dengan titik koordinat 6°01'06.2"S 106°11'52.4"E. Hubungan analisis citra satelit berdasarkan indeks MNDWI dengan keanekaragaman kepiting yaitu lemah dengan nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0,205.
