Abstract
The rice cropping system of Jajar Legowo is able to increase rice productivity by 12-22 % of its productivity, but it is still difficult to be adopted by farmers in Desa Pamengkang Kecamatan Kramatwatu since its cultivation is considered complex. The presence of farmers who have adopted the rice cropping system of Jajar Legowo and still use the rice cropping system of Tegel are interesting to be studied. The aim of this study is to identify the factors that influence in implementing the rice cropping system of Jajar Legowo and Tegel. This study using logistic regression analysis (logit), which is used to determine the factors that influence in implementing the rice cropping systems. The results of this study based on logit method indicate that, by using a five percent significance level (α = 5%), the factors that influence in implementing the rice cropping system of Jajar Legowo was Land Area. Other factors such as the Farming Experience, Age, Land Tenure, Education Level, Frequency of Discussion, Perception and Knowledge were not giving a significant impact. | Additional Information: | RINGKASAN Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi penerapan sistem tanam padi jajar legowo di Desa Pamengkang Kecamatan Kramatwatu Kabupaten Serang. Responden adalah petani yang menerapkan sistem tanam padi jajar legowo dan sistem tanam padi tegel. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 65 petani, yang terdiri dari 26 petani padi jajar legowo dan 39 petani padi tegel sebagai pembanding yang diambil secara acak sederhana menggunakan rumus simple random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis regresi logistik (logit). Metode regresi logistik digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi penerapan sistem tanam padi jajar legowo dengan menyertakan petani yang menggunakan sistem tanam padi tegel sebagai pembanding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian ini memenuhi syarat validitas dan reabilitas. Berdasarkan perhitungan metode analisis regresi logistik menunjukkan bahwa pada taraf nyata lima persen (α = 5%), faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapan sistem tanam padi jajar legowo adalah luas lahan (0,880). Variabel lain seperti lama bertani, umur ̧ hak milik lahan, tingkat pendidikan, frekuensi diskusi, persepsi, dan wawasan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap penerapan sistem tanam padi jajar legowo.
