Abstract

This research is aimed to know the effect of foreign investment, income inequality, open unemployment rate, education and information also communication technology againts poverty with observation the provinces in Pulau Sumatera. Sample determination based on Cross section and Time Series data of 10 provinces in Pulau Sumatera on 2014-2020 period. The research data is sourced from Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). This research is using panel data analysis method with a fixed effect model. Based on partial test (t-test), show that the variable foreign investment and information and communication technology variable showed negative effect on the poverty. While for unemployment rate are positive effect on the poverty.Then variable income inequality and education no effect on poverty. In addition, based on simultaneous results (F-Test) indicates foreign investment, income inequality, unemployment rate, education and information and communication technology have a significant effect on the poverty the 10 provinces in Pulau Sumatera. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penanaman modal asing, ketimpangan pendapatan, tingkat pengangguran terbuka, pendidikan dan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi terhadap kemiskinan dengan pengamatan pada provinsi di Pulau Sumatera. Penentuan sampel berdasarkan data Cross section yaitu sepuluh provinsi di Pulau Sumatera dan data Time-series yaitu periode 2014-2020. Data penelitian ini bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis panel data dengan Fixed Effect Model. Berdasrkan hasil uji parsial (Uji-t) menunjukan bahwa variabel penanaman modal asing dan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kemiskinan. Sedangkan variabel tingkat pengangguran terbuka berpengaruh positif terhadap kemiskinan. Kemudian variabel ketimpangan pendapatan dan pendidikan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemiskinan. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil uji simultan (Uji-f) menunjukkan bahwa variabel penanaman modal asing, ketimpangan pendapatan, tingkat pengangguran terbuka, pendidikan dan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemiskinan pada provinsi di Pulau Sumatera. Kata Kunci : Kemiskinan, Penanaman Modal Asing, Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka, dan Teknologi Informasi dan komunikasi.
