Abstract
This research deals with code mixing of Indonesia language and English which is used in "Breakout" show on NET. TV. This is motivated by the existence of multiple languages used by the master of ceremonies, that is Indonesian and English language used to comunicate with the audience. The aims of this research are to describe of the types of code mixing and the factor is causing occurence of code mixing. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection used is documentation techniques, listening techniques, and record techniques.Based on the analysis, it was found that in the conversation there were three types of code mixing, that is code mixing on level of clause, code mixing on the level phrase, and code mixing on the level words. Futhermore, the reseach also found the cause of the code mixing, that is the use of the more popular terms, the speakers and personal speakers, place of residence and time of discission, the topic, and just for prestigious. This research has implication towards language in line with school education.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan campur kode dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris yang digunakan dalam acara “Breakout” di NET. TV. Hal tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya bahasa rangkap yang digunakan oleh pembawa acara, yakni bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris yang digunakan untuk berkomunikasi dengan pemirsanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis campur kode dan faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitiatif deskriptif dengan beberapa pengumpulan data, yakni teknik dokumentasi, teknik simak, dan teknik catat. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa dalam percakapan tersebut terdapat tiga jenis campur kode, yaitu campur kode pada tataran klausa, campur kode pada tataran frasa, dan campur kode pada tataran kata. Selain itu, dalam penelitian ini ditemukan pula faktor penyebab terjadinya campur kode, yakni penggunaan istilah yang lebih populer, pembicara dan pribadi pembicara, tempat tinggal dan waktu pembicaraan berlangsung, topik, dan untuk sekadar bergengsi. penelitian ini memiliki implikasi terhadap pembelajaran bahasa dikaitkan dengan pembelajaran di sekolah. | |||||||||
