Abstract

Mixing process or amalgamation is a pivotal process in chemical industry. The process happens in a CSTR isothermal reactor. The purpose from this research is to design simulation of concentration control system on CSTR isothermal reactor with PID-PSO controller and to fix controlling performance from other researches. Testing of control system is doing by tuning the PID Control use algorithms PSO, adding disturbance, tracking setpoint, and input ramp testing. This research enables to fix the performance of other researches with rise time value result equals to 1,1128 seconds, settling time value is 2,1367 seconds and undershot is 12,2783%.

Additional Information: Proses mixing atau pencampuran merupakan proses yang penting dalam industri kimia. Proses ini terjadi di dalam sebuah reaktor isothermal CSTR. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mendesain simulasi sistem kendali konsentrasi reaktor isothermal CSTR dengan kendali PID-PSO dan memperbaiki performa kendali penelitian lain. Pengujian sistem kendali dilakukan dengan melakukan tuning kendali PID menggunakan algoritma PSO, menambahkan disturbance, melakukan tracking setpoint dan pengujian input ramp. Penelitian ini dapat memperbaiki performa penelitian lain dengan hasil nilai rise time menjadi 1,1128 detik, nilai settling time menjadi 2,1367 detik dan undershoot menjadi 12,2783 %.
