Abstract
The colloid system is a material that is contextual/close to daily life, but the problem is the that learning outcomes of colloidal material are still very low, so are learning model that is suitable whit colloidal material that is contextual in nature can improve student learning outcomes. This study amis to overcome these problems through the application of the preparing doing concluding (PDC) learning model on colloidal material to improve student learning outcomes. The design used in this student using the pre-experimental method is one group pretest-posttest. The subjects of this study were 33 students of XI MIPA SMA Al-khairiyah 4 cilegon. The instruments used were tests in the from of pretest-postets multiple choise questions, and observation sheets and student response questionnaires. Data were analyzes using the normality test, hypotesis test, and the N-gain score test. There was an increase in student learning outcomes with an average N-gain of 0.50. In the hypotesis test, namely the paired sample t test, obtained a value of the sig.2 tailed (0,000).

Additional Information: | Materi koloid merupakan materi yang bersifat kotekstual/dekat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, tetapi yang menjadi permasalahan yaitu didapatkannya hasil belajar materi koloid masih sangatlah rendah, maka dibutuhkan model pembelajaran yang cocok dengan materi koloid yang bersifat kontekstual sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Preparing doing concluding (PDC) pada materi koloid. Desain yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen adalah one grup pretest posttest. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa XI MIPA SMA Al-khairiyah 4 Cilegon sebanyak 33 siswa, instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes berupa soal pilihan ganda pretest-postest, dan lembar observasi dan angket respon siswa. Hasil data penelitian dianalisis dengan uji normalitas, uji hipotesis, dan uji N-gain score. Terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,50.
