Abstract
Ciherang Lake is located in Terate Village, Cikande District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. It is commonly used as a reservoir, for irrigation and fisheries. Macrozoobenthos are organisms that live at the bottom of the water and are sensitive to environmental changes. The purpose of this study was to determine the water quality of Ciherang lake using macrozoobenthos as a bioindicator. This research was conducted in November-December 2021 at Ciherang Lake. Biological parameters were calculated using the diversity index, uniformity, dominance, and Family Biotic Index (FBI). Physical and chemical parameters such as temperature, brightness, pH, and DO were measured in-site, and COD has measured ex-site. The results obtained were that the Thiaridae family group was found at all station points and the highest species obtained were Thiara scabra and Melanoides tuberculata. Based on the diversity index, Ciherang Lake is included in the lightly polluted category. Based on the FBI stations 1, 3, 4, and 5 have fairly poor water quality, and station 2 with poor water quality. Keywords: Bioindicator, Ciherang lake, family biotic index, macrozoobenthos

Additional Information: | Situ Ciherang terletak di Desa Terate, Kecamatan Cikande, Kabupaten Serang, Provinsi Banten. situ Ini biasanya digunakan sebagai reservoir, untuk irigasi dan perikanan. Makrozoobentos merupakan organisme yang hidup di dasar perairan dan peka terhadap perubahan lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas perairan Situ Ciherang dengan menggunakan makrozoobentos sebagai bioindikator. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan November-Desember 2021 di Danau Ciherang. Parameter biologi dihitung dengan menggunakan indeks keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dominansi, dan Family Biotic Index (FBI). Parameter fisik dan kimia seperti suhu, kecerahan, pH, dan DO diukur di tempat, dan COD telah diukur di luar tempat. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah kelompok famili Thiaridae ditemukan di semua titik stasiun dan spesies tertinggi yang diperoleh adalah Thiara scabra dan Melanoides tuberculata. Berdasarkan indeks keanekaragamannya, Situ Ciherang termasuk dalam kategori tercemar ringan. Berdasarkan FBI stasiun 1, 3, 4, dan 5 memiliki kualitas air yang cukup buruk dan stasiun 2 dengan kualitas air yang buruk.
