Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline and work competence on employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable. In this study the method used is a quantitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique used a questionnaire using an interval scale and used 100 respondents as a sample from a total population of 105 employees, for data analysis using a model test using the SmartPLS 4.0 analysis tool which consisted of testing the outer model and inner model. From the results of SmartPLS 4.0 calculations, research results with a significance level of 0.05% draw conclusions: (1) there is a positive and significant effect of work discipline on employee performance (2) there is a positive and significant effect of work discipline on work motivation (3) there is an influence positive and not significant impact of work competence on employee performance (4) there is a positive and significant effect of work competence on work motivation (5) there is a positive and significant effect of work motivation on employee performance. (6) work motivation is able to mediate the relationship between work discipline and employee performance (7) work motivation is able to mediate the relationship between work competence and employee performance.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh disiplin kerja dan kompetensi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui motivasi kerja sebagai variabel intervening. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan menggunakan skala interval dan menggunakan 100 responden sebagai sampel dari jumlah total populasi sebanyak 105 pegawai, untuk analisis data menggunakan uji model dengan menggunakan alat analisis SmartPLS 4.0 yang terdiri dari uji outher model dan inner model. Dari hasil perhitungan SmartPLS 4.0 hasil penelitian dengan signifikansi level 0,05% mendapatkan kesimpulan: (1) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai (2) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari disiplin kerja terhadap motivasi kerja (3) terdapat pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan dari kompetensi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai (4) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari kompetensi kerja terhadap motivasi kerja (5) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai. (6) motivasi kerja mampu memediasi hubungan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai (7) motivasi kerja mampu memediasi hubungan kompetensi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai.
