Abstract

Innovation is defined as an idea, a new idea marked by an update which is usually caused by certain things or efforts to solve a problem.studyaims to find out (1) How the innovation of the Literacy Coffee program is in instilling a literacy culture in the millennial in the city of South Tangerang (2) The innovation success of the Literacy Coffee program in instilling a literacy culture in the millennial in the city of South Tangerang. In this study, researchers used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and in data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this study were 2 Literacy Coffee managers and 13 Literacy Coffee participants who visited and contributed to Literacy Coffee activities. The results of the research that has been carried out show that (1) The novelty of the Literacy Coffee program innovation can be declared an innovation because it fulfills the five characteristics of innovation according to Rogers (2003) namely relative advantage, suitability, tryability , level of complexity and observability ( 2) Literacy Coffee Innovation is successful in instilling a literacy culture as evidenced by efforts to change, social systems and communication strategies.

Additional Information: Inovasi dimaknai sebagai ide, gagasan baru dengan ditandai oleh pembaruan yang biasanya disebabkan oleh beberapa hal tertentu atau upaya dalam pemecahan masalah. Kajian penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Bagaimana inovasi program Kopi Literasi dalam menanamkan budaya literasi pada generasi milenial di Kota Tangerang Selatan (2) Keberhasilan inovasi program Kopi Literasi dalam menanamkan budaya literasi pada generasi milenial di kota Tangerang Selatan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan dalam teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 2 pengelola Kopi Literasi dan 13 partisipan Kopi Literasi yang berkunjung dan kontribusi dalam kegiatan Kopi Literasi. Hasil penelitian yang sudah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa (1) Kebaruan dari inovasi program Kopi Literasi dapat dinyatakan sebuah inovasi karena memenuhi lima karakteristik inovasi menurut Rogers (2003) yaitu keunggulan relatif, Kesesuaian, Kemungkinan dicoba , Tingkat kerumitan dan Kemudahan diamati (2) Inovasi Kopi literasi berhasil dalam menanamkan budaya literasi dibuktikan dengan adanya upaya perubahan, sistem sosial dan strategi komunikasi.
