Abstract

In the era of technology 4.0, technological developments transformed many aspects of life, including developments in the film industry. Film is not only a medium of entertainment but can also be used as a media campaign. One of the safety riding campaign films is "Holiday with my Honda motorbike." This film is here to invite people to implement safety riding and reduce the number of traffic accidents. This study aims to find out whether the film is able to convey the message of safe riding to MM2100 Industry Partner Vocational School students, whether students practice safe riding, and how strong the effect of the film is on safe riding behavior. The theory used is the theory of behavior. In this study, the research method used was quantitative, with the nature of explanatory research. The population was MM2100 Industry Partner Vocational School students and the total sample size was 344 respondents. The results of this study show a correlation value of 0.369, meaning that it has a weak influence between the two variables. The coefficient of determination is 13.6%, which indicates that this film only influences 13.6% of student safety riding behavior. While the remaining 86.4% is influenced by other variables outside of this study, and on the results of a simple linear test, the regression value Y = 39.355 + 0.443X, and on hypothesis testing, it is known that the calculated t value is (7.340) > the t table value (1.967), which means H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, or there is an influence between short films on behavior. So it can be concluded that this film is only able to convey safety riding information clearly to students but does not optimally change their safety riding behavior.

Additional Information: Di era teknologi 4.0, perkembangan teknologi mengubah banyak aspek kehidupan, termasuk perkembangan di industri perfilman. Film bukan hanya sebagai media hiburan saja, tetapi mampu dimanfaatkan sebagai media kampanye. Salah satu film kampanye safety riding adalah film “Liburan Bersama Motor Hondaku”, film ini hadir untuk mengajak masyarakat menerapkan safety riding, dan menekan angka kecelakaan lalu lintas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah film tersebut mampu menyampaikan pesan safety riding kepada pelajar SMK Mitra Industri MM2100, apakah pelajar melakukan safety riding, serta seberapa kuat pengaruh film tersebut terhadap perilaku safety riding. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori perilaku. Pada penelitian ini, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan sifat penelitian eksplanatif. Populasinya yaitu pelajar SMK Mitra Industri MM2100, dengan jumlah sampel 344 responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai korelasi sebesar 0.369, yang artinya memiliki pengaruh lemah antara kedua variabelnya, kemudian nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 13.6%, yang menunjukkan bahwa film ini hanya mempengaruhi sebesar 13.6% pada perilaku safety riding pelajar. Sedangkan sisanya 86.4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini, dan pada hasil uji linier sederhana didapatkan nilai regresi Y = 39.355 + 0.443X, serta pada pengujian hipotesis diketahui nilai t hitung (7.340) > nilai t tabel (1.967) yang artinya H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, atau terdapat pengaruh antara film pendek terhadap perilaku. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa film ini hanya mampu memberikan penyampaian informasi safety riding dengan jelas kepada para pelajar, tetapi tidak sampai secara optimal mampu mengubah perilaku safety riding.
