Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the growth response of stem cuttings of three Aglaonema varieties on different growing media. This research was conducted from February to May 2022 at Pelopor environment, Karundang village, Cipocok Jaya sub-district, Serang City, Banten. This research used a Randomized Blocks Design (RCBD) which consisted of two factors. The first factor were Aglaonema varieties which consist of Rotundum Tiger, Donnacarmen and Lipstik varieties. The second factor were growing media which consist of fern and bamboo humus (1:1), fern and roasted husk (1:1), cocopeat and roasted husk (1:1), cocopeat and zeolite (1:1). Observation parameters include time of shoot emergence, shoot length, number of plant shoots, number of roots, number of leaves, and the increase in diameter of stem cuttings, pH and humidity of the growing media, as well as the temperature and humidity of the research environment. Based on the results of the study, the variety that gave the best results were Lipstik variety on the parameters of the highest number of shoots, the highest number of roots and the largest increase in diameter of stem cuttings. The growing medium that gave the best results were fern + bamboo humus (1:1) on the parameter of the highest number of roots. There was no interaction between varieties and growing media on all observation parameters.
